Real Estate Websites- Do It Right

My Dad, who was an extremely successful businessman, drummed into my head, "If you are going to do it, do it right!" I'm sure it wasn't his original statement but the concept definitely applies to real estate web sites. If you have one, which you should, do it right.

Take a look at your real estate web site as if you were a potential buyer or seller. How do you feel about the site? Would you do business with this person? Why?

If you have some doubts about your site, visitors more than likely will also. Would you be attracted to business with someone who did not take pride in their work? Would you hire a contractor who only have finished his work or only built homes that looked exactly like everyone else's?

A bad real estate website is like going on a job interview partially dressed. The only difference is that your interview is permanently posted on the Internet until you do something about it.

What can you do to do it right? If you have the time, change/customize your site targeting the people who visit your site, not other agents. If you don't have the time to do it right, get professional help. I spend every day fixing or building sites for some very successful agents.
