Sounds too good to be true? Try this-Call everyone you should call or were thinking about
calling. Every time in my 30 plus years in real estate (I'm really not that old, I started right out of
college) I needed business, I just called people, I got business.
One of my favorites when I was managing, when I heard people complaining about no business, was to point out
that we had installed this fabulous machine. The fabulous machine was the telephone. One of the best features was
the dial out feature. If people weren't calling in, you can call out.
What happens when you call out? You find out that it is not so scary. Think about it. What is the worst
thing that will happen? Are you happier or not when you are working with people?
The good things that happen when you call everyone you should or wanted to call.
- You get a listing appointment
- You get an appointment with a buyer
- You get a referral (You always ask for referrals, don't you?)
- You find out who on your list is really serious
- You get to mark something as done on your to do list
- You feel better about yourself
- You are free to go on to new things
- You find out that you need more prospects
- You are reminded to step up your marketing efforts
