Blogs for Real Estate Agents
I am sold on blogs as a real estate marketing
resource for increasing agents business and
visibility. However... They take work. My blog has
been dormant for awhile. Why? It took work and some time. How
am I going to fix my blog problem? A little planning based on
past experience should fix it.
What are you trying to accomplish with your
blog? Another way to market your
listings? Become an area expert? Drive traffic
to your web site? Think about it before you start.
What type of subjects could go into your
blog?
When are you going to write it? How
often? I suggest a minimum of once per week.
How long is each entry going to be- they do
not have to be too long- my problem- I have so much to give. It
is OK to break an entry into multi parts.
Blog topics:
New listings
Market statistics- once per month, once per quarter
Happenings in your town- the parade, the festival, etc.
Business reviews- restaurants reviews- done by you or your
friends, back to school places to shop
Sporting events- What it is like to go to the Cougar's game
Parks in town- where are the playgrounds, tennis courts
Mortgage rate trends- up, down..
Different types of financing- lender can help
Myths- real estate, area...
Brainstorm for other ideas
Blogs can have some amazing results over time if they are
done right. Use this entry as a simple guideline and you will
be on your way. One last tip, make sure your
personality comes through.
