3 Simple Reasons to Have a Real Estate Web Site Revisited

Every agent should have a real estate web site even if you can't turn on a computer. A real estate web site has 3 basic reasons to exist.

1 To get new business
2 To win business that you are in competition to get
3 To stay in contact with prospects and past clients

For most agents the second reason is a good place to start. Even your grandmother if she doesn't own a computer, becomes Internet savvy when she goes to list her property. Potential clients check you out on the Internet. You should have a real estate web site so clients can find you and that at a minimum you can show your real estate marketing prowess. Your web site should be in addition to any company provided web page.

Your web site if it is built correctly should be used to get new business. To achieve this you will need to put some more effort, thought and work into your site than one that will help you win when you are in competition.

The third reason for having a real estate web site, staying in touch with prospects and past clients, is often overlooked. To have your web site serve this purpose, you need to address the needs of those groups. I'll cover this part of the real estate web site in another entry.
