2 Real Estate Marketing Secrets
Authors are supposed to use words like secret in the title
to get you to read the article. I confess this article isn't
really a secret expose but an observation based on working with
real estate agents for over 30 years in all kinds markets. In
every market there are some agents who are successful in there
real estate marketing efforts. If you look at them you will
find two things in common.
Here they are the two secrets for success in real estate
marketing in today's market-Attitude and
Opportunity. Attitude-a good one, will help you
succeed in any market. Opportunity changes with market
conditions but is there in every market, you just have to look
for it.
Attitude-How is yours? Countless books,
millions of speeches and common sense all point to a positive
attitude as a way to overcome anything. Make sure you face
every day with a positive attitude.
How do you develop a positive attitude? It is different for
every person. There are courses, seminars, books and coaches
(like me) to help you with your attitude. Do things you like to
do. Build success in things other than real estate.
Don't spend time with negative people. Hang
out with positive successful people.
Find the opportunities in your market
place. The dominant agent in an area probably isn't
selling properties as quickly as before. Your real estate
marketing program might warrant a look in an area that you
couldn't break into before. Builders who were having such great
success before might be receptive to what you have to say now.
They are definitely motivated sellers. Buyers who you may have
ignored as a group in the past might be not so bad to work
with. It might be time to pay a little more attention to your
real estate marketing on the web, to give you another stream of
buyers. Think about where the opportunities are in your market
and go for it. Brainstorm with another positive person.
Maintain or develop a positive attitude. Look for
opportunities in your marketplace. In a tough market
the consumers go to quality agents who are positioned
right. Be that agent.
